Glossybox closed in France and Germany — UK only
Glossybox no longer operates in France or Germany. The last box shipped to French subscribers was the March 2025 box. Subscriptions were then cancelled automatically and prepaid plans refunded.

Why Glossybox Europe shut down: the Blissim deal
Glossybox was owned by the British group THG (The Hut Group), which also owns Lookfantastic and Cult Beauty.
On 31 March 2025, THG announced the sale of Glossybox's European business — France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland — to Blissim, the French former Birchbox. The deal took Blissim to roughly 240,000 subscribers, making it Europe's largest beauty-box operator (2024 revenue: €50M, 80% of it in France).
THG kept only the UK market, where glossybox.co.uk continues to run normally.

Glossybox UK: what is actually on offer
glossybox.co.uk is the only Glossybox still shipping. Checked on 17 July 2026, the site was running a "subscribe today and get a free Mystery Box" welcome offer, with free delivery included in the subscription price and more than 22,000 Trustpilot reviews, including customer reviews dated June and July 2026.
Plans start at £12.50 a month, and each box holds five beauty picks worth over £50 plus a free reusable cosmetics bag. The format is unchanged: 5 hand-picked beauty products each month — face care, makeup, body and hair care, fragrance — built around a monthly theme, in the brand's signature pink packaging.
UK welcome codes (the GLOSSY20 / 10OFF family) are the only Glossybox codes with any chance of working. They apply to UK delivery addresses and bill in pounds sterling.
Ordering from the EU is possible in theory, but since Brexit a beauty parcel shipped from the UK can trigger customs formalities and import VAT — which usually wipes out a 20% discount.
Dead promo codes still circulating
Every French and German Glossybox promo code published today is inactive — and the coupon sites have not cleaned up.
Checked on 17 July 2026:
- One referral site still lists 24 Glossybox codes, some "added" on 15 and 16 July 2026, for a service that closed 16 months earlier.
- A box comparison site still shows the old French pricing grid (€15.50 / €46.50 / €156) as if subscriptions were open.
- Several pages advertise "-€14", "€15 off" or "€5 free".
- None of them mentions the closure.
The old French referral code format was NAME-R1, worth -20% on the first box over €30, with about €14 of credit for the referrer. Those codes were real — the page they opened now returns a 404.
Glossybox: the box that created the market
Founded in Germany in 2011 by Rocket Internet, Glossybox largely invented the European subscription beauty-box market alongside Birchbox.
The concept: 5 beauty products a month — face care, makeup, body and hair care, fragrance — chosen around a monthly theme, in an iconic pink box, with a stated retail value above the subscription price. Glossybox also popularised the seasonal rhythm the whole category still follows: beauty advent calendars in November-December, an anniversary box in autumn, and limited editions with partner brands.
THG acquired the business in 2017, then unwound it market by market across 2024-2025. In France, that legacy now belongs to Blissim.

If you are based in France, the successor is straightforward. Prices checked on 17 July 2026:

For reference, Glossybox France was €15.50/month (€46.50 quarterly, €156 annually, shipping included). Blissim costs about €3.40/month more than the Glossybox you knew, but it is the only direct continuation of service — and a referral code takes €10 off.
Note on My Little Box: since January 2026 it is no longer monthly (8 shipments a year) and the price moved from €19.90 to €20.90.
