Dofus promo code: gift codes, Ogrines & referral

The Dofus subscription unlocks all of the game's content: every combat zone, dungeon, class and advanced feature. Without it, characters are capped in progression and zone access. Since December 2024 and the move to the Unity client, the Dofus subscription costs EUR 5.99 per month (up from EUR 5), while Dofus Retro stays at EUR 5; 3-, 6- and 12-month plans cost less per month. The subscription is tied to an Ankama account, covers several characters, and is payable in euros or in Ogrines, the game's virtual currency.

Ogrines are Ankama's virtual currency, used to pay the Dofus subscription, buy cosmetics in the Ankama Shop or trade for Kamas (the in-game currency) on the Kama Exchange. They're bought in euros from Ankama.com, but can also be obtained by converting Kamas earned in-game, so a regular player can fund their subscription without spending real money. Dofus gift codes, meanwhile, grant Ogrines or subscription days directly, with no bank card.

Dofus has 19 playable classes, each with its own gameplay, spells and role in group compositions. They range from the Cra (long-range archer) to the Sacrier (melee tank) and the Eniripsa (healer), up to the Forgelance, the 19th class added in 2023, whose whole kit revolves around its lance. This diversity, combined with the strategic depth of turn-based combat, allows thousands of team combinations. The solo "Mono-account" server adds a constraint by limiting each player to a single character.

Ankama offers Dofus in several versions. On PC and Mac, Dofus has run on the new Unity client since 2024-2025. Dofus Touch is the mobile version (iOS and Android), with a touch-friendly interface, its own servers and economy. Dofus Retro replays the early-game experience (version 1.29) at EUR 5 per month, popular with veterans. Each version has its own community and subscription: a Dofus PC subscription doesn't cover Dofus Touch.

Dofus codes are redeemed on dofus.com, in the "Gift code" area of your Ankama account (official page: dofus.com/fr/mmorpg/communaute/codes), reachable from account settings. A code can credit subscription days, Ogrines or exclusive cosmetics. Ankama hands them out during events (game anniversary, conventions, Krosmaster), via streamer partnerships, or in marketing campaigns. Every code is single-use, and there is no public, reusable "promo code".

Dofus has a referral system built into the Ankama account. Referrer and referees are linked for life, with no limit on the number of referees. On every purchase a referee makes (subscription or Ogrine pack), the referrer receives 10% of the value in Ogrines, with no cap or time limit: for example, a 3,000-Ogrine pack bought for EUR 6 earns the referrer 300 Ogrines, and a 7-day pack at EUR 2 around 110 Ogrines. These Ogrines are account-bound (not resellable on the Kama Exchange). For the referee, the first purchase unlocks the Godfather Set (Panoplie du Parrain), a free equipment set. The referral link is generated from the referrer's Ankama area, the most reliable way to earn free Ogrines without a public promo code.

Dofus and World of Warcraft (WoW) are two iconic MMORPGs with opposite philosophies. WoW offers real-time combat in a 3D universe aimed at a global audience. Dofus picks strategic turn-based combat in a unique 2D style with a strong community. Unlike Dofus, sold exclusively via Ankama, WoW subscription keys and many other games are available at reduced prices on marketplaces like G2A and Instant Gaming.

Beyond gift codes, Ankama runs a creator code: as part of its affiliate program, entering a content creator's code rewards them with a commission at no extra cost to you. It works on the Ankama Shop, the launcher and in-game (the "promo/creator code" field), as well as for Ogrine purchases, but it isn't available on Steam or Dofus Touch, due to Apple and Google platform rules. For genuine discounts, watch the Ankama Shop's weekly deals and promotional packs. In short, sites promising a permanent "-50% Dofus promo code" are misleading: real savings come from event gift codes, referrals and Kama-to-Ogrine conversion.
