A Fiverr gig is a service offer created by a freelancer with a fixed price. Each gig offers three tiers (Basic, Standard, Premium) with different deliverables and deadlines. The client chooses the desired tier, orders and pays in advance — Fiverr holds the payment until delivery is approved. It adds Team Accounts — a collaborative dashboard to manage orders across several members — access to vetted Fiverr Pro freelancers, a dedicated account manager and centralised billing. Since the 2025 Winter Release, Fiverr offers two Fiverr Pro subscriptions (Essential and Advanced) with contracts, classification audits and background checks.

Fiverr and Upwork are two different approaches to freelancing. Fiverr imposes fixed prices (gigs), suited to repeatable micro-services. Upwork works by bidding and favours long-duration assignments.
